Beauchene mounts have been done primarily for anatomical studies. Difficult and costly to produce, they are usually prepared only on request and are rarely available. This is a male adult specimen mounted on an adjustable and detachable frame. This is not a replica but real bone in perfect condition and one half of the specimen is hand painted to locate muscle origins and insertions. This particular skull is a collectors item with unique historical significance.
